My daily driver. Comfortable, honest and easy to look after, which is exactly what Kathmandu traffic asks for.
I build websites by hand in Kathmandu, train people at dawn, and spend what is left of the week around engines.
I'm Prajal Bariya, a front-end developer with more than eleven years of turning designs into fast, responsive websites for clients around the world.
I studied electronics engineering, started my career in networking, and moved to the browser in 2014. I haven't left. Outside the editor I co-own Mamba Fitness in Buddhanagar, where I coach members through their training, I build browser games when an idea won't leave me alone, and I make videos for kids on my YouTube channel, KiddlyVerse.
Eleven years.
250+ websites
built to the pixel.
I take a design from Figma, XD or a PSD and turn it into clean, responsive markup that holds up in every browser. Custom builds in plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript, or on the platform the client already runs. Open to contract projects and full-time roles, remote, with teams anywhere.

Designers, project managers and QA, across time zones. Mentoring newer developers.
Three 3D games I made with three.js and plain JavaScript. They run right here, no install. Best on a desktop with a keyboard and mouse.
First-person shooter, solo and multiplayer
A solo campaign of eight missions across a desert town, a river crossing, a prison and a military base, on foot and in trucks, tanks and a helicopter. Or join the multiplayer free-for-all in the market town and take on everyone else who's online.
Play DustfallOpen-world action
A third-person run through Thamel, Basantapur, Boudha and the ring road. Steal a taxi, outrun the traffic police and work up through six jobs.
Play Kathmandu UndergroundStreet racing
Six city circuits and a garage of ten sports cars. Pass the posted limit and the police start paying attention, so finish the laps before they box you in.
Play Redline Pursuit

My channel for kids: a colourful little universe of original songs, short stories and bedtime tales, animated comics and funny adventures, made for curious little minds.
I co-own Mamba Fitness, also known as Mamba Sports Center, in Buddhanagar, Kathmandu, and coach there. Members get a plan written for their goal and someone on the floor who checks their form.
Four plans I start members on. Pick one to see the week. Weights are set with you at the gym, so talk to me before your first session.
3 days a week, full body. For your first two to three months. Rest at least a day between sessions, and add a little weight when every set feels clean.
6 days a week, Sunday to Friday. For members with six months or more behind them. Saturday is rest, which is also our short day.
4 days a week, built around 3-minute rounds. For boxers, and for anyone who wants the engine without the sparring. Rest 1 minute between rounds.
4 days a week, upper and lower, with a short finisher. For losing fat while keeping your strength. Pair it with a daily walk.
I like machines you can hear and feel. A black Japanese sedan for every day, and a soft spot for cruisers with a low seat and a slow, heavy beat.

Cruisers are about the ride, not the lap time: feet forward, relaxed bars and a thump you feel through the tank. The Meteor is the one I'm saving for. Once it's mine it becomes the base for a chopper: tall bars, a low solo seat and a sissy bar. Switch the photo to see stock against the plan.
Hiring for a front-end role, got a contract project, or want to train at Mamba? Send a message and I'll get back to you.
